Hi, I'm Kirsten Sass, the sole coach behind Keep Moving Forward Performance & Wellness. I know what it's like to start at the very beginning - my first triathlon ended with me finishing dead last in my division. But I didn't let that stop me. Over the past 25+ years, I've turned that first experience into a lifelong passion for racing, coaching, and helping others achieve their goals.
Since that first race, I've earned over 60 National Titles and 14 World Championship Gold Medals, and I had the honor of guiding a visually impaired Paratriathlete at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Now, I bring that experience to your journey, guiding beginners, wellness seekers, and competitive athletes alike. My approach is personal, supportive, and focused on helping you build strength, confidence, and performance - one step at a time.
Coaching isn't just about training plans - it's about understanding you as a person. I work one-on-one with each client to create programs tailored to your goals, abilities, and lifestyle. Whether you want to:
- Start your first race or fitness journey
- Improve general health and wellness
- Reach new personal bests in competitive sports
...I provide guidance, motivation, and support every step of the way. My goal is to make your journey rewarding, sustainable and enjoyable, os you can move forward with confidence - one step at a time.
I grew up in McKenzie, Tennessee, a small town where family and community are at the heart of everything. My father introduced me to triathlon, and racing has been a family passion ever since - most of my family still competes today. That early connection to sport and community taught me the value of support, encouragement, and celebrating every milestone together.
At Keep Moving Forward Performance & Wellness, I bring that same sense of family and community to coaching. Whether you're just starting out, improving wellness, competing at a high level, or introducing your child to swimming, you'll be part of a supportive environment where your progress is celebrated every step of the way.
Years of racing taught me that real progress comes through small, consistent steps, not perfection.
As a USAT Level 1 coach, I build every plan individually, always balancing training demands with real life.
I have earned 60 national titles and 14 world championship gold medals in triathlon competition.
I founded Keep Moving Forward in McKenzie, TN, to share world-class coaching with everyday athletes.
I served as a guide for a visually impaired paratriathlete at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
I am a USAT Level 1 triathlon coach, elite age‑group athlete, and owner of Keep Moving Forward Performance & Wellness in McKenzie, Tennessee. Over more than 25 years in triathlon, I have earned 60 national titles and 14 world championship gold medals and served as a guide for a visually impaired paratriathlete at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
